Cernos 40 mg softgels contain testosterone undecanoate, an ester designed so some testosterone is absorbed via intestinal lymph instead of a full first pass through the liver. They are used as replacement therapy when blood tests show hypogonadism and a doctor prefers an oral option instead of gels or intramuscular oil. Sun Pharma manufactures this presentation. Why the meal matters
Fat in a meal helps lymphatic uptake of testosterone undecanoate. Empty-stomach dosing can under-deliver, which is why leaflets usually say swallow whole with food and split the day’s capsules as the prescriber sets. Do not chew the softgel. Do not double a missed dose without advice.
Capsules still suppress the axis
Oral replacement is still exogenous testosterone. Sperm counts commonly fall while you are on it. Bone, mood, red-cell mass and prostate still need the same kind of follow-up as injections. “It’s only a capsule” does not make it safer for someone with prostate cancer, untreated sleep apnoea, or a haematocrit a clinic already flagged.
Who should not start from a quiz
Tiredness and a late-night search are not a diagnosis. Morning testosterone, LH/FSH, PSA and a clinician who has examined you come first. Women, children, and anyone using androgens for sport or physique should not use this product. Athletes: it is prohibited in competition.
